Major League Pickleball Playoffs: Brooklyn Picks SoCal, Dallas Flash Enters on Winning Streak

In the 2026 Major League Pickleball (MLP) playoffs, the Brooklyn Pickleball Team, seeded fifth, used its first‑pick right to choose its first‑round opponent. Instead of the lowest‑seeded Chicago, Brooklyn selected No. 10 SoCal because SoCal’s star player Armaan Bhatia was injured and unavailable, making the matchup appear easier.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Flash entered the same playoff bracket on the back of an 11‑match winning streak. The surge followed mid‑season acquisitions of Danni‑Elle Townsend and Alix Truong, which revitalized the team’s women’s doubles line‑up, while JW Johnson and Augie Ge continued strong play in men’s doubles. Dallas opens the postseason at home in Carrollton, Texas, against No. 11 seed Las Vegas, and analysts view the Flash as a strong contender for a deep run.
