Major League Soccer resumes with Toronto FC snapping 12-game winless streak

Major League Soccer resumed its regular season following the Leagues Cup break with several key matchups across the league.

Toronto FC snapped a 12-game winless streak with a 2-1 victory over the New England Revolution. Niklas Dorsch scored his first MLS goal with a long-range strike, and an own goal by Will Sands provided Toronto's first lead. Despite playing the final portion of the match with ten men after Djordje Mihailovic received a red card, Toronto secured the win.

In other action, Charlotte FC defeated the Columbus Crew 3-1, led by goals from Brandt Bronico, Liel Abada, and Pep Biel. Atlanta United secured a 2-1 home win against the New York Red Bulls, with Tristan Muyumba and Fafa Picualt scoring.

Several matches ended in draws, including a 1-1 stalemate between Real Salt Lake and Minnesota United, and a 1-1 draw between Orlando City and FC Cincinnati. Tyrese Spicer scored for Orlando to equalize after Pavel Bucha opened the scoring for Cincinnati.
