Major marathons held in Shenyang and Harbin

Major marathon events recently took place in the Chinese cities of Shenyang and Harbin, drawing large numbers of domestic and international participants.

The Shenyang Marathon saw a record 22,000 runners. In the men's full marathon, Francis from Kenya secured first place with a time of 02:12:12, while Minalle from Ethiopia won the women's category in 02:30:21. The event featured specialized support for elderly and visually impaired runners through a dedicated volunteer service.

In Harbin, approximately 30,000 runners competed along the Songhua River. Jemeda Dati Yami from Ethiopia won the men's full marathon with a time of 2:12:41, narrowly beating Chinese runner Hong Yue. Ethiopian athletes also swept the top three positions in the women's full marathon, while Chinese runners claimed all top spots in the half marathon.
