Major running events announced in Gniezno and Warsaw

Major running events in Poland are preparing for upcoming editions. The 49th Bieg Lechitów, Poland’s oldest half-marathon, is scheduled for September 20, 2026. The race will follow a historical route from Ostrów Lednicki to Gniezno, with approximately 5,000 participants expected.

Bank Spółdzielczy w Gnieźnie has joined as the strategic sponsor for the first time, supporting the Gniezno Coronation Triad alongside the Bieg Europejski and the Gniezno Independence Run. The local heating company, Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej w Gnieźnie, has also joined as a new partner.

In Warsaw, registration has opened for the 36th Bieg Niepodległości, held annually on November 11 to commemorate Poland’s independence. The event features a 10 km course and serves as the finale of the Warsaw Running Triad. Last year, the race saw a record attendance of over 19,000 participants.
