Major sports festivals announced for Chile

Chile is set to host significant sporting events, including the Sport Fest Vitacura 2026 and the Lago Ranco Half Marathon 2026.

In Santiago, the Sport Fest Vitacura will take place at Parque Bicentenario on December 12 and 13. Organized by the Vitacura Sports Corporation, the festival aims to attract over 20,000 attendees through a model inspired by global events like the Arnold Sports Festival. The event will feature more than 25 simultaneous disciplines and include appearances by high-profile athletes such as Olympic medalist Fernando González, hockey star Luciana Aymar, Olympic medalist Yasmani Acosta, karate champion Valentina Toro, and UFC fighter Ignacio “Jaula” Bahamondes.

In the commune of Lago Ranco, the Half Marathon 2026 successfully gathered approximately 3,500 people, including 1,200 competitors. Produced by Nimbus Outdoor and supported by the Municipality of Lago Ranco, the event focused on combining physical activity with local tourism to boost the regional economy through accommodation, gastronomy, and local commerce.
