Maçka opens new educational complex with three schools and dormitory

A new educational complex consisting of three schools and a 150-person student dormitory has been opened in the Maçka district of Trabzon. The project, funded by honorary president of Turgut Aydın Holding, Hacı Turgut Aydın, includes the Hacı Turgut Aydın Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Maçka, as well as two additional schools in Yalıncak.

During the opening ceremony, Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç emphasized that education is a collective responsibility involving the state, local municipalities, and private philanthropists. Maçka Mayor Koray Koçhan noted that the investment serves as a gesture of loyalty to the region, as Aydın originally left Maçka for Istanbul at age 15 to begin his professional life.

The ceremony was attended by various officials, including Trabzon Governor Tahir Şahin, AK Party Trabzon Deputy Yılmaz Büyükaydın, and former Minister Faruk Nafiz Özak.
