Makarska Riviera firefighters mobilized after signal rocket launches
Firefighting units across the Makarska Riviera have been mobilized following the launch of at least four signal rockets. Preliminary information suggests the rockets may have been fired from the sea.
Firefighters in Podgora were alerted to the situation due to the high risk of wildfires. Reports indicate that emergency services were not notified in advance of the launches. The incident has caused significant concern among fire services, particularly given the current drought conditions and recent large-scale fires in the Dalmatia and Omiš regions.
