Makassar Leadership Summit 2026 aims to drive leadership in Eastern Indonesia

The Makassar Leadership Summit (MLS) 2026 is working to establish Makassar as a leadership epicenter for Eastern Indonesia. On September 1, 2026, organizers held an audience with Makassar Mayor Munafri Arifuddin to discuss building a cross-sector leadership ecosystem.

The summit aims to foster strategic collaboration between the government, business sectors, academia, and professional communities. The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the Sandeq Ballroom in Hotel Claro, Makassar.

Mayor Munafri Arifuddin emphasized that modern development challenges require leadership capable of integrating diverse perspectives. He noted that the government cannot work in isolation and that business, academia, and the community play complementary roles in driving progress amidst technological changes and business uncertainty.
