Makassar Mayor Munafri Arifuddin inaugurates new officials

Makassar Mayor Munafri Arifuddin has inaugurated new functional officials within the Makassar City Government, issuing specific directives to the newly appointed Head of the Tamangapa Landfill (TPA) Technical Implementation Unit (UPT), Pesawatro.

The Mayor emphasized that the management of the Tamangapa Landfill must become more professional, modern, and environmentally conscious. He instructed the new leadership to accelerate the implementation of technology-based waste management to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Beyond technical operations, Pesawatro was tasked with the significant responsibility of maintaining security, social conduciveness, and harmonious relationships with the local communities living near the landfill site. The Mayor stated that the facility should not only process waste but also provide tangible benefits to the surrounding residents.
