Makassar officials call for strengthened PKK community empowerment

During the 54th Anniversary of the PKK Movement (HKG) in Makassar, officials emphasized the organization's strategic role in community development and family welfare. Melinda Aksa Munafri, Chairperson of the Makassar TP PKK, opened an MSME exhibition and jamboree involving 15 sub-districts to promote local economic potential and product creativity.

Mayor Munafri Arifuddin urged PKK cadres to strengthen their presence at the neighborhood level (RT/RW) to serve as a direct link between the government and citizens. He highlighted the organization's vital role in identifying family issues, including stunting prevention, healthcare access, social assistance distribution, and supporting education for those unable to complete formal schooling. The Mayor also stressed the importance of the 'dasawisma' groups in providing accurate data to ensure social interventions reach those in need.
