Makati Business Owner Catches Delivery Rider Stealing Returned Clothing

A clothing retailer in Makati City reported that a delivery rider repeatedly took items from returned packages and sometimes replaced them with other objects. After reviewing security‑camera footage, the owner identified the rider and confronted him. The rider was turned over to the Makati City Police, which filed several complaints and opened an investigation into the alleged thefts that may have persisted for over a year and caused substantial losses for the business.

The owner urged the logistics company that employs the rider to tighten employee screening and monitoring, and called for compensation for sellers who suffer similar losses. Police and the logistics firm said they will cooperate as the inquiry proceeds.
