Makbule Süleyman Alkan Ortaokulu reaches 26 twin students

Makbule Süleyman Alkan Ortaokulu in the Buca district of İzmir has seen its number of twin students rise to 26 following the enrollment of nine new twins for the upcoming academic year. The school, which has been in service since the 2003-2004 period and currently educates 1,600 students, has become well-known for its high concentration of twins.

To date, the institution has graduated 212 twins. The current student body includes nine twins in the 8th grade, four each in the 6th and 7th grades, and the nine newly enrolled 5th graders. School Principal Hasan Basri Karaoğlu noted that while the presence of twins has become a characteristic feature of the school, the primary reason for its popularity remains the quality of education provided.

Karaoğlu stated that the school aims for students to represent the institution well through their behavior and academic success. He added that while twins can sometimes be difficult to distinguish, they increasingly differentiate themselves through their unique talents, clothing, and individual achievements.
