MakeDocs traveling cinema brings documentary films to six Macedonian villages

The 17th edition of the MakeDocs traveling cinema toured six villages in North Macedonia from 10 to 17 July, presenting documentary films on large outdoor screens in public squares and school courtyards. Screenings took place in Negotino, Pepelishte, Demir Kapija, Dolni Disan, Negorci and Gevgelija, each accompanied by pre‑ and post‑film discussions that encouraged community dialogue. The tour was supported by the Film Agency of the Republic of North Macedonia and highlighted the festival’s mission to bring documentary storytelling to audiences with limited access to cinema.

Following the roadshow, the main Makedocs festival is scheduled for 20‑27 August in Skopje, featuring a broader program of documentary films and related events.
