Makedonski Telekom hosts event to combat peer and online violence
Makedonski Telekom organized the first ‘Parental Meeting Without Grades’ in Skopje’s City Park to address peer and online violence. The event brought together parents, children, experts, and public figures to discuss creating environments free from mockery, hate, and fear.
The initiative is part of a broader campaign titled ‘Break the Circle of Violence. Do Not Be an Audience,’ conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science. The program includes educational activities and the involvement of the ‘Net bez hejt’ (Net Without Hate) youth movement, a national initiative established through a partnership between the Telekom Foundation for Macedonia and UNICEF.
A central panel discussion featured psychologists, musicians, and influencers who discussed the roles of parents, schools, and society in recognizing and preventing violence. Additionally, youth representatives introduced upcoming caravans that will travel to various cities in Macedonia, providing parents with access to psychologists to foster trust and open communication with their children.
