Makeup artist Ava Gillies dies in England car crash at 26

British makeup artist Ava Gillies, 26, known for her work on films such as *Barbie* and *Wonder Woman 1984* and TV series including *Bridgerton* and *The Crown*, was killed in a road collision in Wrelton, North Yorkshire, England, in late July. Police reports say her white Volkswagen Polo was struck by a black Audi A4 on a rural carriageway, and emergency crews confirmed her death at the scene.

Gillies' family released a statement describing the loss as "immeasurable" and praised her talent, wit and confidence.
