Makeup techniques for facial harmony and feature enhancement

Various makeup techniques can be used to enhance facial features and achieve specific aesthetic effects. For blush application, the method should be adapted to face shape:

Round faces benefit from an upward blending toward the temples to create a lifting effect. Long faces should have blush applied horizontally to add perceived width. Square faces can use circular, diffused blending to soften strong jawlines, while heart-shaped faces benefit from a C-shaped application to balance the forehead and chin.

For eyebrows, techniques to create volume and fill gaps include using eyebrow shadows for larger areas with a slanted brush for a natural finish, and fine pencils or pens for precise, hair-like strokes. Finishing with a clear gel helps structure the hairs and maintain the shape throughout the day.
