Makhmud Muradov, the Oktagon light heavyweight champion and interim middleweight king, is set to compete in a controversial bout against members of the Kotlár family at the G MMA event on October 31 in Prague. Muradov stated that the fight is a financial decision intended to support his family, noting he could accept multiple such fights if the pay is sufficient. He reportedly expects a career-high payout exceeding five million CZK.

Oktagon CEO Ondřej Novotný has criticized the matchup, describing it as a “desecration” and a stain on Muradov’s career, citing concerns over the integrity of the organization involved. Despite the criticism, Muradov remains focused on his professional goals, which include becoming a triple champion and potentially facing Patrik Kincl in a future rematch. While he maintains contact with UFC matchmakers, he expressed no immediate desire to return to the organization, citing his current contract and financial stability in Oktagon.
