Makita expands 40V Max XGT battery-powered tool lineup
Makita has expanded its 40V Max XGT battery-powered tool lineup with the introduction of the VL001G concrete vibrator and a high-performance 20-inch chainsaw.
The VL001G is a cordless machine designed for leveling and compressing fresh concrete. It features a brushless motor, constant speed control, and 11,000 vibrations per minute. The tool is compatible with three different aluminum blade widths (900, 1,400, or 1,800 mm) and includes protections against dust, water, and accidental starts. It can also be connected to portable power packs for extended use.
Additionally, Makita’s 40V Max XGT 20-inch chainsaw is designed to compete with 50cc gas-powered saws. The tool includes three cutting modes to balance power and battery life, a display panel for monitoring functions, and was tested to cut 160 wood discs (cookies) on a single 8.0-Ah battery charge.
