Makita launches three new cordless tools

Makita has introduced three new cordless tools as part of its September 2026 product lineup, targeting concrete finishing, heavy-duty fastening, and branch cutting. The new releases are split between the company’s 40V max XGT system and its established 18V LXT platform.

Among the new offerings is the VL001GZ, a 40V max XGT Brushless Cordless Vibratory Screed Power Head. Designed for leveling and smoothing freshly poured concrete, the tool can be used with 3-foot, 4.5-foot, or 6-foot vibratory screed bars. It produces 11,000 vibrations per minute to assist with both leveling and compaction. When powered by a 40V max XGT 4.0Ah High Power Battery, the device can operate for over two hours.

Additionally, the company released the GWT09, a 40V max XGT 1-inch-drive impact wrench designed to provide high torque for large fasteners.
