Makkah Education Department launches ministerial Quran competition

The General Department of Education in the Makkah region has invited male and female students across all educational levels to participate in the ministerial Holy Quran competition. Launched by the Ministry of Education, the initiative aims to encourage Quranic memorization, perfect recitation and Tajweed, and strengthen Islamic values among students.

The competition is divided into six branches tailored to different skill levels. For early childhood and elementary stages, categories include full memorization, 15 parts, 10 parts, 5 parts, 3 parts, or the recitation of Juz Amma. For middle and high school students, categories include full memorization, 20 parts, 15 parts, 10 parts, 5 parts, or Juz Amma.

This initiative is part of the Ministry of Education's broader efforts to foster a connection between students and the Holy Quran through memorization and contemplation, while also identifying and developing Quranic talents in younger generations.
