Makoto Yukimura, the creator of the Vinland Saga manga, has indicated that a third season of the anime adaptation is not currently in production.

In a response to a fan on X (formerly Twitter), Yukimura stated, ‘Sorry my friend, I have no good news about that. The project is not currently in progress.’

The anime series, which follows the journey of Thorfinn, saw its second season conclude in June 2023. While the production committee has not officially announced a cancellation, no new developments have been confirmed by the publisher Kodansha or the animation studio MAPPA, which handled the second season.
