Makro offers up to 50% discounts during Golden Anniversary sale

Makro is holding the final week of its ‘Golden Anniversary’ promotion, running from September 25 to October 1, 2026. The sale features significant discounts across various categories, including up to 50% off fruits and vegetables, 40% off fish, cereals, and cleaning products, and 30% off cold meats, sausages, and frozen goods.

Other discounts include 25% off dairy and infusions, 20% off snacks and beverages, and various reductions on pantry staples such as rice, grains, oils, and coffee. Customers making purchases of $250,000 or more are eligible to enter a sweepstakes for a year of monthly groceries, scheduled for October 2, 2026.

These promotions arrive amid inflationary pressure on food items. According to DANE, food and non-alcoholic beverages saw a cumulative variation of 7.16% between January and August 2026, outstripping the general CPI increase of 5.35% during the same period. Makro advises consumers to plan purchases based on actual consumption needs rather than buying solely for discounts.
