Mal de amores reaches Netflix Top 10 in 30 countries
The Mexican series ‘Mal de amores’, directed by Catalina Aguilar Mastretta, has reached the Top 10 in 30 countries following its release on Netflix. Based on the original text by writer Ángeles Mastretta, the production has served as a significant driver of economic activity in Mexico.
The project involved over 3,500 collaborators, including 625 cast and technical crew members and more than 600 local providers. Filming took place over 93 days across three Mexican states: Puebla, Mexico City, and San Luis Potosí.
Logistical data from the production includes over 125,000 kilometers traveled for location scouting, 10,800 hotel nights reserved, and the creation of more than 500 original garments made from natural fibers. Additionally, over 60 musicians contributed to the series' soundtrack.
