Mala Cana addresses dispute with daughters of late composer Andrija Bajić

Mala Cana, the widow of the late composer and lyricist Andrija Bajić, has addressed the ongoing conflict with her late husband's daughters. The dispute escalated when the daughters reportedly removed her belongings from the family home in Voždovac and left them on the street, an incident that led Cana to contact the police.

In recent statements, Cana expressed that she has always respected Bajić's daughters and his late wife, noting that she keeps a photograph of Bajić's former wife in her wardrobe out of respect for her husband. She also mentioned visiting the late wife's grave in the past.

A legal expert noted that regardless of property rights, the law protects personal property from damage or being left at risk on the street. Public interest remains focused on a potential life maintenance contract signed between Cana and Bajić, which may be subject to legal challenges by the daughters.
