Mala Cana expelled from late husband’s house as daughters dump her belongings

After folk singer Andrija Bajić died in July 2026, his widow Mala Cana went to the family home in Belgrade to collect her personal items. According to her statements, the singer’s daughters removed her belongings from the house and placed them on the street, describing the act as "like being treated as a dog." Cana reported that the daughters also failed to return a potted flower that she considers emotionally important. She called the police, who arrived and documented the situation, speaking with Cana and her companion before leaving the premises. During the incident Cana said she was shocked, cried, and threatened to take a polygraph test. The dispute has been publicized in several media outlets, with some mentioning a separate conflict involving folk singer Ere Ojdanić, but the core event centers on the removal of Cana’s possessions and the police response.
