Malachi Barton honored at Variety Power of Young Hollywood event

Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood ceremony, presented by Disney+, took place at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. The event recognized a slate of emerging talent, including Malachi Barton who received the Rising Star Award, Tyriq Withers (New Leading Man), singer‑songwriter Tate McRae (Triple Threat) and producer Sombr (Songwriter of the Year).

Barton, known for Disney Channel projects such as “Camp Rock 3” and the upcoming series “Coven Academy,” spoke about advice he received from the Jonas Brothers to “enjoy yourself and not take things too seriously.” He also highlighted his upcoming “Worlds Collide Concert Tour” and the August 13 premiere of “Camp Rock 3.” The evening featured hosts Mario Lopez and his son Dominic, an acoustic set by Sienna Spiro, and brand activations from Neutrogena, Eternal Water and CashApp.
