Malachi Smith signs two-way contract with Toronto Raptors

Shooting guard Malachi Smith has signed a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors. The 26-year-old will split time between the Raptors and their G League affiliate, the Raptors 905.

Smith previously played for the Brooklyn Nets, where he appeared in 15 games. During his tenure with Brooklyn, he averaged 8.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game, shooting 43.5 percent from three-point range. After being waived by the Nets in July to create salary cap space, Smith has now secured his position in Toronto ahead of the team's training camp, which is scheduled to begin on September 29.
