Malaga hotel occupancy projected to hit 95% during Feria de Málaga

The upcoming Feria de Málaga is expected to drive significant hotel occupancy in the Malaga province, with the Costa del Sol hoteliers’ association (Aehcos) forecasting peaks of up to 95% during the fair's final weekend.

While overall average occupancy for the festive period is projected at 88.4%—a 5.2% decrease compared to last year—the demand for transport shows an upward trend. Data from eDreams indicates that flight reservations to Malaga have increased by 16% compared to the previous year. International visitors are expected to make up 60% of hotel guests, with France, Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom identified as key markets.

Occupancy is expected to fluctuate throughout the event, which runs until August 22. The first weekend is projected to see 93.2% occupancy, while the final weekend is anticipated to surpass previous years' figures. Aehcos attributes the strong end-of-fair demand partly to the attraction of the bullfighting fair program.
