Malaga Port to host nine cruise ships during August fair
The Port of Malaga is set to welcome nine cruise ships during the city's August fair, bringing a combined capacity of nearly 20,000 passengers. This influx of maritime tourists coincides with a period where local hotels are nearing full occupancy.
Activity is expected to peak on Friday, August 21, which accounts for almost half of the total arrivals. On that day, four ships are scheduled to dock, carrying a total of 9,591 passengers. A major highlight of the schedule is the arrival of the 'Arvia', operated by P&O Cruises. The Excel-class vessel is 345 metres long and can accommodate more than 6,200 passengers. It is scheduled to arrive at 7:00 am from La Coruña and depart for Alicante at 5:00 pm.
Other notable arrivals include the 'Sky Princess', which carries 3,660 tourists, and the 'Crystal Serenity'. Additional premium vessels such as the 'Seven Seas Splendor', 'Seven Seas Navigator', and the 'Ambience' are also part of the busy docking schedule during the festivities.
