Malakai Black criticizes WWE over unfulfilled creative promises

Professional wrestler Malakai Black has criticized WWE, claiming the company failed to fulfill a “mountain” of creative promises made to him prior to his departure. Black stated that the most difficult aspect of his exit was the feeling that promised creative plans never materialized.

Industry figures have offered differing perspectives on these claims. Eric Bischoff expressed skepticism, suggesting that Black might have interpreted certain implications as formal promises or that frustration regarding his career stability might be influencing his perception of the situation. Bischoff noted that finding work for a performer with Black's specific character type can be challenging.

Jim Ross, while not disputing Black's version of events, advised the wrestler to “get off the drama train.” Ross praised Black's talent and unique style, asserting that he will undoubtedly find work in the industry, though he suggested Black may need to piece together various opportunities to build his next career chapter.
