Malang Raya faces drought relief efforts and sunny weather forecasts

The Malang Raya region is experiencing a combination of drought conditions and varying weather patterns. According to BMKG Juanda, the weather for Malang City, Malang Regency, and Batu City is expected to be predominantly sunny from September 21 to early September 22, 2026. While Malang City is predicted to remain clear with temperatures between 20 and 32 degrees Celsius, hazy conditions are expected in parts of Malang Regency and the Bumiaji area of Batu City.

In response to ongoing drought, the Malang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has been actively distributing clean water. Between August 8 and September 21, 2026, the BPBD has distributed a cumulative total of 2,452,350 liters of water to affected residents. On September 21 alone, 98,500 liters were delivered across several districts, including Sumawe, Gedangan, Sumberpucung, Donomulyo, and Pagak, using five transport vehicles.
