Malang students secure wins in Islamic finance competitions

Students from educational institutions in Malang have achieved significant success in Islamic finance and economics competitions.

Students from the Islamic Banking study program at Universitas Islam Malang (Unisma) won four awards at the International Economics Competition #3. Held at UIN Mataram, the event focused on innovation and sustainability in Islamic economics. Notable achievements included second place in the Video Reels category by the AFF team and second place in the Sharia Economics Dakwah category by Fadliyah Mardhatillah.

Separately, students from MAN 2 Kota Malang maintained a five-year winning streak at the Indonesia Shariah Finance Olympiad (ISFO) 2026. Organized by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in Jakarta, the competition involved over 12,000 participants. The MAN 2 Kota Malang delegation, consisting of Abisatya Nararya, Essenza Qurani Permata Qolby, and Wanda Revamoza Abrilliant, secured various medals during the final rounds held in late September.
