Malatya Businessmen Platform President calls for social solidarity

Ahmet Özköse, President of the Malatya Businessmen Platform, has addressed the ongoing reconstruction and social challenges facing Malatya following recent earthquakes. He emphasized that while the rebuilding of housing, roads, and businesses is essential, preserving the city's cultural fabric and social identity is equally critical.

Özköse highlighted the issue of migration, stating that authorities must understand why residents are leaving the city and what obstacles prevent those wishing to return from doing so. He called for efforts to ensure locals can find employment and remain in their hometowns to maintain neighborhood life. Additionally, he urged local bureaucrats to prioritize solidarity with their own community members through merit and justice.

In a separate address regarding social responsibility, Özköse called on the business community to look beyond production and employment. He advocated for a commitment to sharing, solidarity, and serving humanity, noting that supporting education and protecting the rights of workers and the needy are vital responsibilities for the business sector.
