Malatya Chamber of Commerce requests extension of 6th Region incentives
Oğuzhan Ata Sadıkoğlu, Chairman of the Malatya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO), has called for the extension of 6th Region investment incentives until the end of 2030. Currently, these incentives, provided under the Attraction Centers Program, are scheduled to expire on December 31, 2026.
Sadıkoğlu emphasized that the city of Malatya requires increased production, investment, and employment to recover from the devastating effects of the February 6 earthquakes. He noted that the current practice of extending incentives through short-term, one-year increments creates uncertainty for investors.
To facilitate long-term investment decisions and sustainable employment planning, the MTSO argues for a more stable, long-term schedule. The chairman stated that rebuilding the city requires more than just constructing housing and workplaces; it necessitates strengthening the local economic structure and production capacity.
