Malatya developers create industrial fruit pestil machine
A new industrial machine developed in Malatya, Turkey, aims to transform various fruits into pestil at an industrial scale. The project is a collaboration between agricultural entrepreneur Hatem Özpolat and machine manufacturer Yılmaz Alptekin, following four years of development.
The production line spans approximately 90 meters and is capable of processing not only traditional fruits like grapes and mulberries but also apricots and plums. Supported by TÜBİTAK, the system is designed to improve hygiene, ensure product standardization, and facilitate access to international markets.
Developer Yılmaz Alptekin stated that the machine is capable of making pestil from any fruit in the world. The team initially targeted a production capacity of one ton per hour and is currently planning to increase this capacity. The developers have already entered discussions with potential markets in Tunisia, Morocco, Central Asia, the Balkans, and Russia.
