Malatya Metropolitan Municipality to host Zero Waste Camp for youth

Malatya Metropolitan Municipality is organizing a Zero Waste Camp at Beydağı Nature Park from August 31 to September 4, 2026. The initiative aims to increase awareness among high school students regarding environmental issues, climate change, and sustainability.

Supported by several Turkish ministries and the Turkish Red Crescent, the camp will host 50 students. The curriculum includes practical training in water efficiency, composting, upcycling, and waste management. This program is part of a broader environmental journey connecting Malatya to the COP31 goals in Antalya, encouraging youth to implement sustainable practices in their homes and schools.
