Malatya Municipality opens new store for women's handicrafts

Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Sami Er has inaugurated a third women's handicraft store at the Kernek Vahap Küçük Complex. The initiative aims to integrate women's handmade products into the economy by providing a platform for sales both in-store and through online channels.

To support family budgets, the municipality offers these sales services without charging any commission or fees. The store features a wide variety of items, including textiles, clothing, jewelry, ceramics, paintings, handmade soaps, and various decorative goods.

In addition to retail support, the municipality organizes vocational courses and workshops to help women gain new skills and socialize. Mayor Er noted that these programs are particularly beneficial for women living in containers following the earthquake, helping them regain self-confidence and contribute to their household incomes.
