Malatya student enters State Conservatory via free municipal courses

Rabia Kolak has successfully enrolled in the Turkish Folk Music Department of the State Conservatory at Inönü University's Faculty of Fine Arts and Design. Kolak achieved this goal after participating in free YKS (Higher Education Institutions Exam) preparation courses provided by the Malatya Metropolitan Municipality.

Due to financial constraints, Kolak was unable to afford private tutoring. She utilized the free courses held at the Kernek Campus, which also included transportation services for her and her sibling. Kolak credited the support of Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Sami Er and her teachers for her success, noting that the Mayor had personally visited her home to offer encouragement during her studies. Her long-term professional goal is to become a music teacher.
