Kars Governor Hosts International Erasmus+ Youth Capacity Project
Kars Governor Ziya Polat welcomed participants of the EU‑funded Erasmus+ KA153‑YOU project at the governor’s office. Delegates from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Tunisia, North Macedonia and Italy met with Youth and Sports Provincial Director Mehmet Başköylü to discuss the programme’s aim of strengthening the skills and capacities of youth workers.
The project, running under the 2021‑2027 Erasmus+ framework, focuses on digital transformation, climate action, environmental protection, sustainable development, social inclusion and diversity. By bringing together youth professionals from five countries, the initiative seeks to foster intercultural exchange, share best practices and build new trans‑national partnerships that support young people’s personal and professional development.
Governor Polat highlighted Kars’ historic and cultural richness and reaffirmed the city’s commitment to hosting further international collaborations under the Erasmus+ programme.
