Malavika Mohanan expresses interest in gangster roles ahead of ‘Sardar 2’ release

Actress Malavika Mohanan has expressed her desire to play a gangster in future film roles. This revelation comes ahead of the release of her upcoming spy thriller, ‘Sardar 2’.

Directed by P. S. Mithran, ‘Sardar 2’ serves as both a sequel and a prequel to the 2022 hit film ‘Sardar’. The story follows the past of Agent Sardar (Chandrabose) and his son, Vijay Prakash, as an unfinished mission from the past resurfaces as a dangerous international threat. Karthi stars in a dual role as both father and son. The film also features SJ Suryah as the antagonist, ‘Black Dagger’, alongside Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath, and Rajisha Vijayan.

While the original film focused on the commercialization of water, this sequel aims to address themes related to health and hygiene. The film is scheduled for release on September 10 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
