Malawian football title race tightens after Bullets and Silver Strikers draws

The FDH Bank Premiership title race has tightened following goalless draws by top contenders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers. Bullets were held 0-0 by Luanar Mitundu FC at Dedza Stadium, marking their second consecutive week without scoring. Simultaneously, Silver Strikers also failed to find the net in a 0-0 stalemate against Goshen City Dedza Dynamos.

These results have left Mighty Wanderers and Silver Strikers level on 29 points, separated only by goal aggregate. The competitive nature of the season is underscored by the significant prize money at stake, including K200 million for the champions.

In the FCB Katswiri Under-19 League, the Bullets U19s also played to a 0-0 draw against league leaders Ekhaya Youth at Kamuzu Stadium. Ekhaya goalkeeper Albert Lupiye was noted for several key interventions to maintain the deadlock against a sustained Bullets attacking threat.
