Malawi's FDH Bank Premiership resumes with intense title race

The FDH Bank Premiership in Malawi resumes this weekend for the second round of the 2026/27 season. The title race remains highly competitive, with only one point separating the top two teams: Blue Eagles, who lead with 31 points, and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, who follow with 30 points.

Big Bullets are set to host Blue Eagles at Mpira Stadium for their opening fixture of the second round. During the midseason break, Big Bullets integrated new signings Sheku Sheriff, Tinaye Tsimba, and Alihaji Mnjale into the squad through friendly matches. The team enters the second half of the campaign on a four-match unbeaten run.

Other significant fixtures include Mighty Wanderers facing challenges in the title race, while clubs at the bottom of the table, such as Kamuzu Barracks and Creck Sporting Club, look to secure points to avoid relegation. The resumption of the league is expected to intensify the competition for both the championship and top-flight status.
