Malaysia and Pakistan strengthen ties through National Day celebrations and education initiatives

Malaysia's 69th National Day was celebrated in Islamabad with a ceremony at the Serena Hotel, attended by High Commissioner Dato Azhar bin Mazlan and Pakistan's Federal Minister for Food Security, Rana Tanveer Hussain. The event highlighted the growing bilateral ties between Malaysia and Pakistan, with discussions focusing on economic collaboration, trade, and food security.

In conjunction with these diplomatic efforts, Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) hosted the Study in Malaysia Education Fair 2026 in Islamabad. The fair allowed Pakistani students and parents to engage with representatives from various Malaysian universities regarding undergraduate and postgraduate programs, scholarships, and visa requirements. High Commissioner Mazlan inaugurated the fair, noting that educational initiatives serve to strengthen the long-standing friendship and people-to-people exchanges between the two nations.
