Malaysia and Senegal explore transport and rail cooperation

Malaysia and Senegal are exploring enhanced cooperation in the transportation sector, specifically focusing on improving air connectivity and the modernization of rail systems.

During a meeting between Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke and Senegalese Ambassador Abdoul Aziz Loum, discussions centered on leveraging air connectivity to boost passenger mobility, trade, tourism, and bilateral business opportunities. Additionally, the two nations are looking into technical expertise sharing and capacity building for Senegal’s rail network development, utilizing Malaysia’s experience in building integrated and efficient rail systems.
