Malaysia Digital Ministry expands Global Learning Pass to 50,000 licences

The Malaysian Digital Ministry has increased the number of fully funded Global Learning Pass (GLP) licences by 25,000, bringing the total available to 50,000. This expansion follows high demand through the Rakyat Digital portal.

Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo stated that the initiative aims to help citizens build relevant skills, improve career prospects, and increase confidence in using digital technology. The move aligns with the Malaysia Digital Action Plan 2030 and the nation's goal to become an Artificial Intelligence (AI) nation by 2030.

The GLP provides three months of free access to over 16,000 courses, guided projects, and professional certificates on the Coursera platform. These educational resources are provided by leading global universities and industry partners.

The additional 25,000 licences will be offered in mid-November 2026 to the first applicants on the current waiting list. Applicants are advised to monitor their registered email accounts, including spam and promotion folders, for further instructions.
