Malaysia increases non-subsidized fuel prices by 25 sen

Non-subsidized fuel prices in Malaysia have increased by 25 sen per liter, effective from September 10 to September 16. The price of RON97 has risen to RM4.50 per liter, while non-subsidized RON95 is now RM4.02 per liter. Non-subsidized diesel has also increased to RM4.92 per liter.

The Ministry of Finance attributed these adjustments to rising global crude oil prices, driven by geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran and potential supply disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.

Subsidized fuel prices remain unchanged. Under the BUDI95 program, RON95 remains at RM1.99 per liter, and diesel under the BUDI Diesel program stays at RM2.10 per liter. Additionally, fuel for sectors under the Petrol Subsidy Control Scheme (SKPS) and Diesel Subsidy Control Scheme (SKDS) remains at RM2.05 for RON95 and RM2.15 for diesel.
