Malaysia marks Maulidur Rasul with community religious programmes
Various Muslim communities across Malaysia held religious programmes to commemorate Maulidur Rasul, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
In Batu Kawa, Kuching, a celebration was held at Surau Darul Rahman involving local leaders and community organisations. The event featured zikir sessions, Berzanji recitals, and prayers to foster community ties.
In Tawau, approximately 300 participants attended the Majlis Cintai Rasul at Dewan Serbaguna Kg Sungai Imam. The event, held in conjunction with National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, included qasidah performances and lectures aimed at strengthening religious identity and patriotism among the youth.
In Sri Aman, twelve dhikr groups gathered at the Bandar Sri Aman Mosque for a special evening programme. The event focused on dhikr and selawat performances to encourage the appreciation of Islamic traditions and promote community engagement within places of worship.
