MYEG and Zetrix AI suspended over RM314 million revenue remittance failure

The Malaysian Ministry of Transport and the Road Transport Department (JPJ) have suspended the services of MyEG Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Berhad as revenue collection agents, effective October 5, 2026. The suspension follows the companies' failure to remit RM314 million in government revenue collected between May 19 and September 30, 2026.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke stated that the government issued 35 warning notices and held four engagement sessions since May to resolve the matter. He noted that while a cheque for RM231 million dated September 30 was submitted, the bank did not process it following instructions from the company. The government intends to pursue legal action to recover all outstanding funds.

Zetrix AI has submitted a proposed solution to the government to address the arrears and expressed its commitment to restoring services. Perkeso clarified that Zetrix AI was never appointed to collect social security contributions, addressing separate rumors regarding unpaid employee funds. JPJ services remain accessible through the MyJPJ app, public portals, counters, and kiosks.
