Malaysia to provide RM2,500 allowance for Form Six students

Malaysian Form Six students will receive a total living allowance of RM2,500 starting next year, according to Education Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek. The initiative, announced as part of the Budget 2027, aims to support pre-university education and improve the quality of the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) results.

The funds will be distributed in stages over three semesters, with students receiving approximately RM800 per semester. The assistance will be disbursed during the first semester once the registration process for all Form Six students is complete. This program is expected to benefit approximately 90,000 students nationwide, matching the allowance currently provided to matriculation students.
