Malaysia to receive $50 billion international investment in technology

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced a planned $50 billion investment from an international investor targeting sectors including artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and data centers. The investment is expected to be distributed across Sarawak, specifically Kuching, and Peninsular Malaysia.

Anwar noted that the investor expressed interest during a recent video conference, describing the deal as one of the largest in the region. The Prime Minister emphasized that such investments provide significant job opportunities for youth in universities and schools. He also stressed the importance of maintaining political stability and social harmony to sustain international investor confidence in Malaysia.
